Compromise. I understand what the word means but I have to admit I’m not very good at it. Recently I’ve been forced to look at this word and adjust my life accordingly. (more…)

Living here has brought me the opportunity to meet a variety of people from all walks of life….and I feel fortunate to have met some wonderful people during my time here in Corfu. This week has been a awesome reminder of that as I’ve been spending some quality time with two wonderful people from England named Tony and Maureen…. (more…)

10 Things I Miss Most About America

Filed under: Life — Phil Naessens @ 6:56 am
Tags: , ,

I was asked the other day what I missed most about America….and I really didn’t now what to say to this person….so last night while I was watching TV I started to give it some thought…..and here is the 10 things I miss most about America…..in no particular order……

1). Tennis at Bernies (The best tennis in Vegas!)

2). Burger King

3). Libraries

4). Used Book Stores

5). Ice Hockey (New York Rangers)

6). My tennis racquet stringing machine

7). 24 hour shopping

8). Super Big Gulps (Ice tea)

9). Baseball (New York Mets)

10). Sanford and Son re-runs

These are the things I miss….notice what’s absent…..PEOPLE…..because PEOPLE aren’t things…….Obviously I have lived without the things on my list but I couldn’t live without the people that are in my heart….and because they are in my heart….I don’t have too!!!

See Ya Later!

John McCain has integrity. I like this about him. Yesterday he rejected the endorsements of two key evangelical endorsements that surely would have captured him millions of votes. McCain rejected the endorsements of John Hagee of San Antonio and Rod Parsley of Columbus Ohio after learning of their feelings towards Jews and Muslims. (more…)
